Kasarla Shyam is a Telugu cinema lyricist, born on June 25, 1974, in Hanumakonda. Influenced by folk music and stage plays from an early age, thanks to artists like Warangal Shankaranna, he developed a passion for literature and poetry. His father’s unfulfilled cinematic aspirations and financial struggles motivated Shyam to pursue a stable career. After completing his studies, Shyam moved to Hyderabad, writing folk songs for private companies and government programs. His breakthrough came with the song ‘Kokkora Kokkora’ in Chantigadu, followed by ‘Neelapuri Gazula…’ in Mahatma, establishing him as a notable lyricist.
