Bhupatiraju Ravi Shankar Raju, known as Ravi Teja, is a prominent Indian actor and film producer in Telugu cinema, born on January 26, 1968, in Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh. The son of pharmacist Bhoopatiraju Rajagopal Raju and homemaker Bhoopatiraju Rajya Lakshmi, he spent his childhood across Northern India due to his father’s work. After completing his education at Siddhartha Degree College in Vijayawada, Ravi Teja moved to Madras in 1988 to pursue acting. He began his career with minor roles and as an assistant director before gaining recognition with his lead role in Nee Kosam (1999), earning the Nandi Special Jury Award. Renowned for his roles in action-comedy films, Ravi Teja is affectionately known as “Mass Maharaja.”
