Ramajogayya Sastry

Ramajogayya Sastry is an Indian lyricist primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema. Born on August 24, 1970, in Arepalli Muppalla, Ipuru Mandal near Narasaraopet, Palnadu district, he is the son of Suryaprakasa Rao, a priest and agriculturist, and Saraswatamma, a housewife. Sastry completed his B.Tech from NIT Warangal and M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur. Before pursuing a career in lyric writing, he worked as a metallurgical engineer at GE India Business Center in Secunderabad. His journey into lyricism began with a Kannada film, facilitated by Film Star V. Ravichandran. He was later introduced to Krishna Vamsi, who connected him with Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Under Sastry’s mentorship, Ramajogayya Sastry honed his skills and made his debut with the film Yuvasena, a remake of the Malayalam film 4 The People.
