Hemachandra Vedala, born on June 2, 1988, in Hyderabad, India, is a distinguished playback singer and music director in the Telugu film industry. Coming from a musical family, he was deeply influenced by his mother, Sasikala Swamy Vedala, a renowned singer and music teacher. Hemachandra received formal training in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music, beginning at thirteen under his mother’s guidance and later studying Hindustani music with Sri Jangaiah. His breakthrough came through Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, where his powerful voice gained him widespread recognition. This success led to opportunities with Mukta Arts and a career in playback singing and music direction.
