Singh started his career by joining the reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005 when he was just 18. Though he didn’t win and finished in sixth place based on audience votes, he later won another show called 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil. He used the ₹1 million prize from this win to set up his own recording studio. Transitioning to a music producer, Singh began creating and singing for ads, news channels, and radio stations.
His debut in Hindi cinema happened in 2011 with the song “Phir Mohabbat” from the film Murder 2, although it was recorded in 2009. Singh gained widespread recognition for the successful songs “Tum Hi Ho” and “Chahun Main Ya Naa” from the movie Aashiqui 2 in 2013.
